Heads up!!, Monday we began the first phase of the full moon/ lunar eclipse, which will occur on Saturday, May 25th. This will complete the three moon/eclipse cycle we've experienced this month. You know the saying, "Merry month of May". So as I've said before, be gentle with yourself and others and remember this creates a potential for emotions to run high. After all, we are fluid creatures and all things fluid are pulled by the moon. With this said, have an amazing week no matter what comes your way.

ENJOYING THE RIDE I think I’m safe in saying that we’ve all been experiencing our own personal rollercoaster ride since the beginning of the New Year. Our physical as well as our ethereal bodies are adjusting to the New Energetic Paradigm. What an amazing time to be present and participating in. Even so, it is a time that’s bringing birthing pains as we are being forced to release any of the old lower vibration behaviors/stuff that we haven’t quite purged yet. No one is immune. The truly fantastic news is that this new energy present is/will fully support the positive changes we make in our lives. So think BIG. Breathe, relax and let go. Above all trust and believe and throw your hands up in the air and say Woohoo!!!
WINDS OF CHANGE The winds of change seem to be escalating the release of unresolved issues for a great many. Fear is one of the most prevalent states of being that the majority of people are experiencing at this time. This fear has many faces: fear of change, fear of lack, fear of ruin, fear of difference and so on. With the rising vibration of the planet, many layers are being stripped away from all sentient beings and the planet. This process is creating a firestorm of emotional energies raging across the planet and within each of us. Fear in itself is not a negative emotion. It is only when we allow fear to immobilize us or cause us to act in a self destructive manner, that it becomes problematic. Fear can be a wonderful motivator, launching us onto new paths to explore and experience or stopping us short of physical or emotional harm. I would like to put forth the idea of changing our perception of fear. Instead of resisting this emotion, we can use it to our advantage, motivating us to shift forward in a positive way. My method, envisioning my emotional fear as a doorway, sometimes they appear very elaborate and this seems to be tied to how small or large my fear is. I take a deep breath and walk through and once on the other side it never fails to amaze me how immediate the release of my fear is. Of course, I don’t recommend this method if you come on a bear in the woods.
HAPPINESS If you ask someone what happiness means to them, chances are they would say: money in the bank; the car of their dreams; or a big house. Unfortunately, western society keeps perpetuating the illusion of, The American Dream, when in fact, obtaining, maintaining and protecting assets can create just the opposite result--unhappiness. Western style societies are riddled with stress and all the physical manifestations of it. A great deal of this has been brought on by excessive debt and very little time to enjoy family, friends, having “me” time or getting to play with our toys. Why? Because we are working so hard to keep the illusion alive. Picture a juggler that has 20 balls in the air at once. He has no time to rest because it is a full time job keeping those balls from falling. This is what I call existing. It is not really living. A friend recently made this statement, “here I am almost homeless, jobless and the happiest I have ever been”. Crazy? Not really. It’s amazing how happy we can be when we don't put requirements on it. My philosophy in both my practice and personal life is this…Keep it simple. I won’t define what would make me happy, but I can tell you what has made me happy. Happiness has come in many shapes and sizes in my life, from what I would have expected to the unexpected. They include: Following and honoring my path Meditating Yoga Making a difference Coffee with friends A good meal Doing things that feed my soul Thought provoking conversation Being out in nature Laughing, dancing, singing and playing… just to name a few. How about you?
